The 5th Station of Mt. Fuji is located on the side of Mt. Fuji. It is accessible by buses coming from various stations located at the foot of the mountain.
Lake Kawaguchi "Tenjosan park KachiKachi-Yama ropeway" is a ropeway that you get on board from Kawaguchiko Lakeside Station to Fujimidai Station.From the lookout deck of the altitude 1075m, you may experience great views of the majestic Mount Fuji and beautiful appearance of Lake Kawaguchi.
Tenjosan is also known as a stage of masterpiece "Kachikachi-Yama" by Osamu Dazai.
There are two major characters (raccoon dog and rabbit) shown in the story, so that objects modeled two animals welcome you anywhere around ropeway!
Now let's go out for the air walk!
When getting on board the ropeway, it is the start of the 3 minutes air walk. As you climb higher, you will be overlooking the increasingly Lake Kawaguchi of panoramic view. When you arrive at the mountaintop, let's go first to look at the scenery! If weather is nice, you may have a great overlooking experience with beautiful scene of not only Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, but also the Southern Alps.
At the summit "Raccoon Chaya", you can try and taste the original menu, such as baked over charcoal "raccoon dumpling", and potatoes boiled down "salty-sweet". While enjoying the mountain dishes and fresh air, and let's take a deep breath and feel nature of Mount Fuji.
Not only superb views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, you may experience great meets beautiful plants in four seasons such as alpine plants, autumn leaves, and hydrangea. Good place to try hiking and climbing for anyone, so all family members can enjoy together.
The next day off, you will have a special experience with the air walk at Kachikachi-Yama ropeway.
