Places to Visit Around Lake Yamanakako / Oshino: Oshino Shinobi no Sato (Ninja Village)

Besides Lake Yamanakako, there are many places that are surrounded by a wealth of nature, such us Hana no Miyako Koen Park and Oshino Hakkai, which is designated a National Natural Monument.

Oshino Shinobi no Sato, located near Oshino Hakkai that is registered as one of the World Cultural Heritage sites, is a facility that welcomes tourists who want to experience the ninja world. You can try ninja suits on, and take part in attractions where you can experience a ninja training course with ninja weapons.

There are also authentic ninja shows by ninja performers and an eating facility where you can enjoy dishes prepared with local ingredients. You will not easily get bored even if you stay all day. Upon entering the park, you will have a view of Mt. Fuji towering over the Japanese garden immersed in a traditional atmosphere, a unique occasion to preserve this Japanese-like scenery in a photo.

There are also hot spring footbaths to dip your feet in, and relax while contemplating the scenery of Mt. Fuji surrounded by a wealth of greenery.
